Description

Uniroyal's Laredo Cross Country Tour is an all-season tire for light truck, SUV and crossover drivers looking for a satisfying blend of comfortable handling, tread durability and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow.

  • A tire that offers a quiet, comfortable ride on the highway or your daily adventures
  • Convincing handling in all curves
  • Safe on- and off-road handling with reliable traction

An all-new tread compound and open grooves improve traction on wet surfaces and in light snow. In addition, wider shoulder blocks increase cornering stability, and the tire's tread design allows for quicker steering response.

The Laredo Cross Country Tour's tread compound is molded in a symmetrical 5-rib pattern, utilizing a computer-phased design that helps provide a quiet, comfortable ride. In addition, a continuous center rib helps provide a confident steering response and a consistent braking feel.

The four wide circular grooves help evacuate water from the contact patch for improved hydroplaning resistance. Poor weather traction is also enhanced by wide sidewall notches that create open pathways for deep water and slush drainage and biting edges for wet and winter traction.

The tire's internal construction includes a two-ply polyester carcass designed to provide a comfortable ride. In addition, twin steel belts and a single layer of nylon reinforcement enhance durability and stability at high speeds.

Riding the Laredo Cross Country Tour is an enjoyable experience. Dry and wet handling is very good with this tire. Unless you're crazy with the throttle, it resists hydroplaning as well as the top models in its class.

While it does well in light snow, those who live in areas where conditions are terrible should consider an alternative during the winter months. Unfortunately, this tire doesn't have the performance to handle more significant snow or deeper ice.

Overall, Uniroyal did a great job designing the Laredo Cross Country Tour.
