Optimized tread compound for improved grip and handling 

Featuring a tread compound that introduces a new polymer blend and higher silica content, the Pirelli Scorpion-Winter provides improved grip on wet, snowy and icy roads. In addition, this compound is molded into a directional and symmetrical tread design, which features rigid blocks with modular geometry for improved dry handling. The tire's new optimized footprint profile also contributes to greater stability and handling. 

Scorpion Winter's deep, wide circumferential grooves provide effective water drainage for increased hydroplaning resistance, greater control and steering precision, excellent traction and safe braking on wet and slushy roads. The specific layout and many sipes allow the tire to bite into snow and ice and provide optimized and balanced braking performance.
