Its new tread compound, which incorporates a new technical polymer, offers a better grip on snowy, wet and dry roads.

Its new directional tread pattern with a central groove improves hydroplaning resistance.

The numerous sipes on the tread blocks provide a better grip on snowy and icy roads. The unique shape of the sipes reduces block deformation during high-speed driving, which positively impacts the vehicle's handling and stability on winter roads.

The compound used in the Pilot Alpin 5 incorporates silica and sunflower oil which improves handling and grip on wet roads and slush.
