In recent months, Michelin engineers have developed a new type of tire, the Defender LTX M/S2, with the Michelin Evertread 2.0 compound, an evolution of the DNA of the previous Defender LTX M/S, specially formulated to resist pressure and abrasion under heavy loads and high torque.

The Defender LTX M/S 2's tread compound is molded into an all-new symmetrical tread design consisting of closely-spaced independent blocks, giving it greater rigidity than its predecessor.

This new design, combined with "3D SipeLock high-density" technology, enables the Defender LTX M/S2 to maintain block cohesion on dry roads while providing the biting edges needed for all-season traction.

The four grooves and open shoulder slots evacuate water from the contact patch for efficient braking and optimum traction on wet roads.

The Defender LTX M/S2's internal construction includes a double polyester carcass for stable, crisp steering response and two steel belts that ensure highway reliability with the strength to support heavy loads. A polyamide reinforcement ply enhances high-speed performance and stability.
