225/60R15 tire size comparison: which sizes are equivalent?
An equivalent size is a tire whose overall diameter stays within 3% of 225/60R15, so the speedometer, gearing and wheel-well clearance stay close to what the vehicle was designed for. People look for one when 225/60R15 is scarce or expensive, or when they want a different width or rim size. An equivalent size is not an automatic swap, and we do not guarantee that it fits your vehicle: check the rim width range, make sure the load index is at least the original, and allow for possible rubbing. Add your car above and rely on the “Fits on your vehicle” label shown on each product to confirm the fit.
