Description

The Discoverer Rugged Trek is an all-terrain tire from Cooper designed for drivers of pickup trucks, crossovers, and full-size SUVs who want a tire that looks good and performs well off-road while maintaining a smooth, comfortable ride on paved roads.

  • An all-season tire with an aggressive tread pattern
  • Excellent off-road traction and impressive comfort on paved roads
  • Superior grip when you are venturing out on the trails

By carefully blending powerful off-road features with on-road design qualities, the Discoverer Rugged Trek is designed as an aggressively styled off-road tire, emphasizing performance in dry, wet, and winter conditions, including light snow.

The Discoverer Rugged Trek uses a durable all-season tread compound. Molded-in an aggressive, symmetrical tread pattern, it is designed to wear evenly with a longer life than many traditional off-road-oriented tires.

The deep tread pattern helps increase hydroplaning resistance, while the outer sipes improve grip and control on slippery roads.

The Discoverer Rugged Trek's internal construction includes a rugged two-ply casing supporting two high-strength steel belts, combining durability and comfort. A single-ply nylon reinforcement is also added for control and stability at high speeds.

Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek tires allow drivers to customize their vehicles by offering a dual sidewall on each tire. One sidewall features a "Knife-Edge" style with straightener shoulder elements. At the same time, the "Mountain Pass" design on the other side includes serrated elements reminiscent of rugged mountain peaks, allowing drivers to choose the look they want.
