High Silica Tread Compound: The Quatrac 5’s advanced silica-rich compound improves flexibility across a wide range of temperatures, resulting in superior grip on both dry and wet roads. This compound also helps reduce rolling resistance, contributing to better fuel efficiency. Combined with a stiff outer shoulder and large tread blocks, the tire offers precise steering response and solid cornering stability.
Asymmetric tread pattern and high-density zigzag sipes: The tread is designed with a dual-purpose focus. The inboard section features wide circumferential grooves and lateral notches to channel water and slush away from the contact patch, reducing hydroplaning risk. Meanwhile, the high-density zigzag sipes are optimized for winter performance, enhancing traction on snow and ice and allowing the tire to earn its 3PMSF rating.
Internal structure with polyamide reinforcement: Beneath the surface, the Quatrac 5 uses a durable construction consisting of a single-ply polyester casing, supported by two steel belts.
