About Toyo Tires Proxes RR

The Proxes RR from Toyo is a track-only tire developed for driving enthusiasts who participate in road races and track events where high levels of dry grip are required.

Although Proxes RR radial tires meet DOT requirements, they are not suitable for use on Canadian roads. Proxes RR radial tires are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present, and there is a risk of hydroplaning.

Proxes RR tires feature a high-traction tread compound molded into a semi-slick tread design with only two 4/32" deep, symmetrical circular grooves and multiple wear control openings in the slick areas.

However, the Proxes RR tires will require a pre-competition heat cycle to improve wear and provide more consistent performance and a break-in during the first few laps of the track.

The Proxes RR is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, snow or ice like all racing tires.

The tire's internal structure features symmetrical construction to provide predictable handling and consistent lap times throughout the tire's life. At the same time, the reinforced sidewalls offer improved steering response and optimal cornering stability.

Its symmetrical design and internal construction allow it to be mounted on either side of the car.
