The Pilot Sport 4 SUV is optimized for comfort and low noise. It is designed to provide exceptional grip in hot, wet and dry conditions. 

The summer-focused tread compound uses elastomers and a thin layer of silica to improve wet and dry grip and is molded in a performance-oriented asymmetric pattern.

However, like all high-performance tires, it is not intended to be driven in near-freezing or sub-freezing temperatures, snow or ice.

The tread features wide circular grooves for better traction on wet roads, while deep, straight channels help evacuate water from the contact patch to improve hydroplaning resistance.

The Pilot Sport 4 SUV's internal construction consists of a high-density polyester casing that provides a robust and durable structure and features two wide steel belts. 

A hybrid aramid/nylon reinforcement ply enhances steering precision and high-speed capabilities.
