About Michelin Cross Climate +

The CrossClimate+ is Michelin's all-season Grand Touring tire designed for sedan, coupe, wagon and crossover drivers seeking exceptional ride comfort and reliable performance in wet and dry conditions, as well as optimal grip on light snow.

  • A silica-based tread compound designed to provide superior traction in summer and winter
  • Provides optimal traction on light snow
  • A tire built to provide excellent safety and durability

The CrossClimate+ was developed to meet the highest standards of safety in the snow. It is ideal for drivers who want a single tire for all four seasons but do not experience enough snowfall to require a winter tire.

Tread Features

The CrossClimate+ features a varied weather-focused compound molded into a highly directional tread with near-solid cross ribs for exceptional driving stability and dry grip. Wide lateral grooves and open shoulders provide a direct path for water to drain away from the contact patch for aquaplaning resistance, while bevelled tread blocks provide optimal grip on wet roads.

Self-locking 3D sipes create biting edges for extra traction in bad weather, and emerging grooves in the shoulders help maintain reassuring winter traction as the tire wears. The biting edges, combined with the specialized compound, provide the traction needed to receive the Three Peaks Snowflake Symbol (3PMSF).

The internal construction of the CrossClimate+ consists of a single layer polyester carcass supporting two steel belts. Additional reinforcement contributes to the unmatched handling performance and durability sought after at high speeds.

Although all-season tires feature the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol (3PMSF), which certifies better snow traction than all-season tires without this symbol, they do not match the performance of a true winter tire in all winter weather conditions.
