Description

Continental's WinterContact TS 860 S is an advanced winter performance tire with German know-how. It is developed for drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans and is approved for original equipment installation on Porsche 911 and Taycan in the North American market. The WinterContact TS 860 S is designed to provide the handling and reliable control required by high-performance vehicles in cold, dry and wet conditions and on snow and ice.

  • Provides enhanced braking capabilities for maximum winter efficiency
  • Excellent performance on snow for absolute driving pleasure
  • Provides smooth adaptation to icy surfaces to increase traction

The WinterContact TS 860 S ensures low rolling resistance for reduced fuel consumption and offers superb dry handling for precise driving.

The compound used in the tread design incorporates "Cool Chili" technology which ensures that your vehicle remains stable even in freezing weather.

The WinterContact TS 860 S has an asymmetric tread pattern. The asymmetrical tread pattern provides excellent handling and high stability in curves.

A grip between the tire and the road is improved by adding flexible polymer to the tread compound for better traction in all winter conditions, and high-performance resins help maintain flexibility in winter temperatures.

The tire's 3D design features grooves in the tread block walls, which enhance the lock between the tire and the snow-packed into the tracks, improving snow-on-snow traction, especially in tight turns.

Its specially designed tread grooves drain water vertically into the sipes, where it is then drained into wider grooves.

This allows the WinterContact TS 860 S to eliminate the thin film of water that forms when friction melts ice or hard snow on the tire's contact patch, improving grip and reducing braking distances.

WinterContact TS 860 S winter/snow tires meet the Canadian industry's requirements for severe snow conditions and feature the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol (3PMSF).
